This event has ended.

While the doors to Pictureville Cinema are temporarily closed, Pictureville is taking up residency at The Studio next to the Alhambra Theatre to bring you classic and cult cinema, special events and a chance to see films you might never have seen on a big screen before. Screenings are underway, with a March programme on sale now featuring: A celebration of Women’s History Month with a season of Triple F-Rated films, written by, directed by and starring women and including new hits Your Fat Friend and How to Have Sex. It’s Shakespeare Week from 21 March, as we lean into our theatrical surroundings at The Studio once again for a series of the Bard's best adaptions including 10 Things I Hate About You and Romeo + Juliet. We have the return of our much-missed screenings of National Theatre Live and on 22 and 28 March we will be showing the brand-new production The Motive and the Cue from acclaimed director Sam Mendes. A one-off screening of noughties classic Bend it Like Beckham on 16 March. Yorkshire Games Festival are taking over The Studio on 9 March with an evening of all things gaming with a brand new adults-only games social including events with the team from Dungeons and Flagons.
