“An unmissable treat” – British Theatre Guide Creating a bridge between Western classical music and Indian classical dance, award-winning Bharatanatyam dancer Seeta Patel (Sigma, Not Today’s Yesterday) has created a compelling new interpretation of The Rite of Spring. Combining Bharatanatyam with its intricate rhythmic footwork, geometric and dynamic movements and expressive prowess with Stravinsky’s iconic music, Patel’s The Rite of Spring departs from gimmickry and cultural baggage to show dance and music at their best – as a celebration of life.
