Image of Up and Away: C. H. Wood’s aerial photography

Using the crystal clear aerial photographs taken by Bradford photographer C. H. Wood, this exhibition explores the green and pleasant land beyond Bradford from above. Bradfordians have always appreciated the rural landscape around the city, utilising it for agriculture, outdoor pursuits and leisure activities. However, as transport improved and people travelled further afield, they began to enjoy what other locations had to offer. Though the scenes shown in these photographs will be familiar, looking at them from above gives a new, fascinating perspective.
