Guided Walk. ‘In the Footsteps of Rabbi Dr Joseph Strauss and the Reverend Isaac Livingstone’. Stories of Bradford’s Jewish past and the lives of these two charismatic leaders. We will walk through the Manningham area of the city, visit the two historic synagogues – of which Bowland Street still functions as a synagogue. The walk lasts an hour and a half and is guided by Nigel Grizzard. Meet at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery, Lister Park.

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is in the middle of Lister Park, one and a half miles from the City Centre on the A650 Manningham Lane. There is limited parking in Lister Park, accessible from North Park Road (off Oak Lane). Lister Park is served by many city centre bus services including 23, 25, 26, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 622, 647, 662, w5. Cartwright Hall is about ten minutes' uphill walk from Frizinghall railway station.

Bradford Museums and Galleries are proud to announce the introduction of AppEar; a new system to help the visually impaired explore our collections. This year we have been working closely with RNIB and Bradford Talking Media to develop the use of the audio PenFriend devices, which are already widely used within the visually impaired community.
